The hottest character on Lost is not Jack nor Sawyer. Lost’s greatest man-candy? Sayid. Admit it. You think about him on a regular basis, would do him in a heartbeat, and probably even marry him if he asked.
Yet, the show’s writers clearly place Jack and Sawyer at the forefront of Island hotness as they are clearly your regular Hollywood hotties. Then again, I wouldn’t put it past the writers to intentionally divert sexual attention away from Sayid as a tactic of covertly direction attention to him. Genius.
I’ve found that my infatuation with the Iraqi stud is widely shared with other women who watch the show. So, in a nutshell, why Sayid is the hottest character on Lost:
-He has an open mind when it comes to the women he loves: He’ll see the good and beautiful in even the most shallow and bland of girls (Shannon), he puts love before war and politics (Nadia), and most of all, his falling for Elsa (“The Economist” Episode 3 of Season 4), demonstrates his greatest masculine shortcoming—sensitivity.
-He can fix anything. I would imagine this would include your broken orgasm as well.
-Athleticism and stamina. No more explanation needed.
-Only straight dude to look good in a tank top. Ever.
-If you were so lucky as to find yourself in a relationship with Sayid, chances are you’ll die first, therefore avoiding grief and heartbreak. The man is made of steel, can survive plane crashes, and can take bullets.
